Yes so this month has indeed been very eventful and I’ve been on a bit of a roller coaster…
First off ladies and gentlemen the credit crunch has finally took a bite out of me.
I’ve recently been made redundant from my web designer role at Scottish & Universal Newspapers (S&UN) so that’s me now actively looking for a new web/graphic designer position.

Now onto Sindustries news the new footer and almost completed still doing a few tweaks here and there.
I’ve finally made the site XHTML valid and CSS valid and I’ve squished all but one IE6 errors so the site is looking good in all the browsers now.
I’m currently creating a PDF portfolio and a PDF CV and when its ready can be found here I’m going to have a plain CV version and a kinda interactive graphical portfolio versions so I can send them off for jobs and stuff.
In case you tl;dr here is a summary: -
- Scaled the banner image down to increase the amount of content above the “fold”.
- Restyled the sidebar elements/widgets and removed a “navigation bar”.
- Finally added a video to the site put it through out the site
- Updated the homepage
- Updated the footer
- re-styled the UK
Looking back though I’ve learned so much in the last year that my skills have come on leaps and bounds and I cant wait to see whats in store for the future!
