Adobe Photoshop Glass Effect

Today class we are going to start with the simplest and easy to-do adobe Photoshop effect, the glass/gloss text effect.
In recent years this effect has been heavily used by the Web 2.0 scene.
Now lets get on with it!
Glass Text Effect Tutorial
Stage 1
1. Make the background color black
2. Write some text.
And you should have this: -
Stage 2
1. Turn the text layers fill to 0% and the opacity to 90%

2. Right click the layer and add the following blending styles
3. First off add gradient supplied (Here is the .grd Adobe Photoshop Glass Tutorial Gradient )
4. Add an Inner Glow
5. Then add an Outer Glow
You should now have this: D and we are half way there!
Stage 3
1. Now ctrl + click on the text layer so you seen the marching ants as follows: -
2. Select the pen tool and draw a straight line then add a point closer to the right side
3. Then drag the node now however much you want down the way.
4. Right click on the canvas with the pen tool selected and click “make section” and then use the following settings.
Stage 4
1. Now make a new layer and add in the selection add the following gradient in a downward direction![]()
2. Fill the selection with the colour white
3. Then change the opacity of that layer to 30%
And Omgz!
